Adult BLS/AED Provider Courses

The Malta Resuscitation Council (MRC) in collaboration with The European Resuscitation Council (ERC) are organising:

Adult BLS/AED Provider Courses

  • Dates: 16th and 17th June 2006
  • Venue: St. James Teaching Institute, Sliema

Applications are open to doctors, nurses and laypersons interested in Resuscitation. The format of the course includes lectures and ‘hands-on’ skill stations. They will start at 9am and are approximately 4-5 hours long. Certificates will be endorsed by both the MRC and the ERC. This international BLS provider certificate will be accepted as a pre-course requisite for those candidates who intend to sit for future ALS courses abroad or locally.

 

The faculty will be made up of local and international instructors and the course director is Dr. Gavin Perkins, co-author of the new ERC BLS / AED guidelines.

 

Applications can be collected from Dr Mary Rose Cassar, Dr Anna Spiteri, Mr Trevor Abela Fiorentino and Mrs Vicky Bugeja Rausi at the A&E Department of St. Luke’s Hospital.

The number of participants on these courses is strictly limited and applications should be submitted before the 9th June 2006. MRC members and persons on the waiting list from the previous course will be given preference.
