CONFIDENTIALITY and GDPR

Personal data

Personal data will be kept securely for the purposes of the administration of the course and as required by the course Administrator for time-tabling, communication and administration of payments. Data on each European Resuscitation Council (ERC)-approved course, including details of candidates, is shared with the ERC in confidence, for the purposes of course organisation and statistics. At no time will any data be divulged to third parties that are not associated with the MRC or ERC.

Candidates’ personal details collected during registration will be shared with PayPal for the purposes of invoicing and account keeping. More information can be obtained from PayPal’s privacy policy found at: https://www.paypal.com/mt/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-prev

Personal data on candidates will be stored securely by the MRC for administrative purposes, for up to one calendar year after each course, and then deleted.

Photographs

Administrative photograph

For most courses, a photograph of each candidate group will be taken at the time of the registration for each course. This is needed to facilitate identification and accurately assess and score candidates by Faculty. This photograph is for use solely by the course Faculty and will not be shared in any way.

Other photographs

At times, random snap shots / photographs may be taken during a course, and these may include candidates who may be individually identified. A Course group photograph of all candidates and Faculty together is often taken at the end of each course. For the purposes of course promotion and, at times, teaching, a select number of these pictures may be posted on the MRC website and Facebook page.

If you have any objection to this practice, please inform the MRC Course Administrator preferably before the start of the course via an e-mail sent to info.resusmalta@gmail.com.
