EQUIPPING DRIVERS FOR EMERGENCIES REPORT

We are sharing the report from “Equipping Drivers for Emergencies – CPR in the Driving License Directive” which summarises the key takeaways from the presentations and the main points raised during the Heart Smart Malta 2026 discussion.

We invite you to take these findings forward to the national level, informing decisionmakers on its best practices. Once again, we would like to sincerely thank you for your contribution to the event and the discussion.

We would also like to share an upcoming event by the European Resuscitation Council on 25 June at the European Parliament: “EP Resuscitates: Learn CPR, Save Lives”.

As part of this full-day workshop, the Council will bring trained CPR instructors directly to policymakers to train Members of the European Parliament and the general public, while also discussing policy opportunities to incorporate CPR training in schools, workplaces, and driving school settings.

Please find more information attached, and kindly register your interest in joining the closing ceremony by 19 June here.
